Welcome to Squee’s House of Pizza—a team of passionate Magic: The Gathering players dedicated to the Premodern format. We’re a group of competitive and casual players, mostly from New Hampshire and Massachusetts in the United States, who share a love for brewing, refining, and competing with decks from one of Magic’s most exciting eras.

What is Premodern?
Premodern is a fan-created Magic format that showcases cards from 4th Edition (1995) through Scourge (2003), covering Magic’s golden age before the Modern format began. It’s a non-rotating format that blends nostalgia with deep strategic gameplay, bringing together classic archetypes, powerful synergies, and a diverse metagame. With no new set releases, Premodern fosters long-term deckbuilding and an ever-evolving community-driven meta.

Our Team
Led by Chris Roy, the winner of the 2024 New England Premodern Summer Regional Championship, Squee’s House of Pizza is made up of dedicated players who test, innovate, and compete in Premodern events across the region. Whether it’s at monthly locals, regional championships, or online tournaments, we strive to push the format forward while keeping the spirit of old-school Magic alive.
